Designed with Intention: Our Favorite Home Designs of 2025

Each year, certain homes stand out not because they follow trends, but because they reflect thoughtful planning, refined detailing, and a clear design point of view. In 2025, we focused on plans balancing architecture and livability – homes where material choices, proportions, and craftsmanship work together to support everyday life. The designs below represent some of our favorite expressions of that approach.

The Magnolia at Farmstead

The Magnolia in Farmstead is a true showcase of craftsmanship, as highlighted in our Parade of Homes feature. Our interior trim team poured artistry into every inch of this home, resulting in spaces that feel refined, inviting, and unique. From the cast stone fireplace surround and mantle – a new upgrade introduced at the Parade – to built-ins and custom millwork that elevate walls and ceilings, the detailing is intentional throughout. Fluted foyer trim creates a strong first impression, while a herringbone accent spanning both wall and ceiling in the office adds a bold, memorable design feature. In the primary suite, a coffered ceiling brings presence to the 10’ tall bedroom, while the powder blue wainscoting and checkerboard tile adds character and texture to the primary bath.

The Spruce at Farmstead

This 2025 craftsman plan stands out for the way a few deliberate exterior moves create a composed, well-proportioned front elevation. A deepfront porch stretches across the entire front facade, establishing a strong horizontal base and a clear transition from landscape to interior. The hip roof dormer and low roof lines give a nod to craftsman architecture that bringswarmth and familiarity to this home. A side-entry garage keeps the elevation clean and uncluttered, allowing the architecture to take center stage and contributing to a more polished streetscape. With layered rooflines, classic craftsman detailing, and an earth-toned colored scheme, the Spruce delivers curb appeal that feels warm, grounded, and current for 2025.

A three-car garage is included, offering flexibility without complicating the design, and the interior palette pairs soft neutrals with dark trim and light walls for a look that feels calm, cohesive, and timeless.
